Ok, are you ready? Because we are just going to dive right into what are my most commonly asked questions, from inquiring brides to family members at weddings to clients booking a session. Here goes:

|| HOW WOULD YOU DEFINE YOUR STYLE? ||

I am a wedding photographer/videographer and candid moment capturer who loves couples that embrace the chaos, love and jubilation that surrounds their elopement or big day. The biggest compliment I can receive is getting genuine full of happiness moments and laughs from my couples and clients. I edit in a true to color style to create a classic image that will stand the test of time and trends to ensure they look beautiful in your home on the wall or in your cellphone while you share images via instagram.

|| WHY SHOULD WE PICK YOU? ||

I tell everyone I speak to about their wedding day coverage that they need to like their photographer. Ha, it seems silly but you need to get along with this person for an entire day. If you like to laugh and have fun but get stuff done ;-) I’m your girl. I’m from the midwest where smiles and how are you’s go a long way. I’ve worked as a make shift therapist for my brides, an additional bridesmaid when needed (hello? have you pinned a boutonniere or bustled a dress - I’ve done dozens!) and a shoulder to cry on when you’re just so dang happy. I’m assertive to get the shots you need but still kind to your eager guests who can’t wait to party with you!

|| WHEN DO WE GET OUR IMAGES? ||

Typical turn around time for wedding images is 6-8 weeks. 8 weeks is the guaranteed timeframe listed in your contract. Busier times of year will lean towards the 8 week time frame. You will get a few previews (2-6) during that timeframe and I usually give you a heads up they posted or tag you on Facebook or Instagram so don’t forget to follow me online!

For family sessions, newborn, maternity or engagement sessions this time frame is 4 weeks.

|| ARE YOU INSURED + LICENSED ||

Yes! I am insured and registered with the state of Colorado.

|| CAN WE MEET BEFORE THE WEDDING OR BEFORE WE BOOK YOU? ||

Absolutely! I’m happy to hop on a phone call, video call, or meet in person based on our schedules!

|| WILL YOU BE THE ONE WHO PHOTOGRAPHS OUR WEDDING OR DO YOU HIRE SOMEONE ELSE TO DO IT? ||

I don’t currently hire out my weddings to associate photographers, I do hire on second photographers, second videographers and non shooting assistants but they are there to work with me. I would only send an associate (hired photographer/videographer) in my place if I was unable to attend your wedding due to an emergency - act of god - or other conflict.

|| WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU WORK WITH? ||

I shoot with Full Frame Nikon Professional equipment. The sun is my biggest light source but I utilize MagMod Lighting equipment as well when needed. I use a system referred to as off camera flash or continuous lighting occasionally for dark areas and receptions. I have backups for my camera, lenses, and batteries. I shoot on a dual card system that backs up your images in camera.

|| WHAT HAPPENS IF WE CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE OUR WEDDING? ||

50% of your package price is non refundable but transfers to another date within the same year. If it is for the next year, updated pricing would apply. An associate photographer may be utilized if I am booked for the changed date.

|| HOW MANY WEDDINGS HAVE YOU DONE? CAN WE SEE FULL GALLERIES? ||

I take on approximately 15 weddings per year and have shot over 100 weddings, full albums are available online at www.mollymargaretphotography.pixieset.com

|| HOW DO WE GET OR PHOTOS OR VIDEO? WILL WE HAVE RIGHTS TO OUR IMAGES AND FILMS? ||

You will receive your edited digital images via Pixieset and videos are delivered via vimeo, I maintain copyright but you'll have personal use rights and printing rights. I always offer printing options as well if you’re interested.

|| WHAT HAPPENS IF WE CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE OUR SESSION? ||

The retainer is non refundable but transfers to another date within the same year if I am available. If it is for the next year, updated pricing would apply. Reschedules are limited, one rescheduling has no fee, after this each reschedule will result in a fee depending on the session type.

|| OK, WE ARE READY TO BOOK! NOW WHAT? ||

Yay! I'd love to work together! After you decide on a package and timeframe of coverage we will move forward with booking. You will pay an initial payment - retainer fee and sign a contract. For Weddings specifically you can choose from two payment plans:

Option One: Pay 1/2 of balance at booking, remainder due 14 days prior to the wedding

Option Two: Pay 1/3 of balance at booking, 1/3 midway between booking and wedding, remainder 14 days prior to the wedding

Regular sessions are 50% initially, 50% due 2 days prior to the session.

|| DO YOU OFFER POSED NEWBORN SESSIONS? ||

I offer in home, lifestyle newborn sessions. These are a much more natural, intimate styled session which takes place over an hour in your home. Please email me for rates and available times.

|| DO YOU WORK WITH SAME SEX COUPLES, DIFFERENT RELIGIONS ETC? ||

YES! I love all love stories.

|| WHERE CAN WE HAVE OUR PHOTOS TAKEN? ||

I have shot all over the Denver area and can certainly suggest some local parks, shopping areas or fields to photograph in - if you have an idea in mind let me know! Many areas in the state require a permit, please allow 2 weeks to obtain these and up to 35 days for mountain areas. Studios are also available for photo sessions - these range in fees of 50/hour to 200/hour.

|| WHAT DO WE WEAR TO OUR ENGAGEMENT SESSION? ||

Outfit recommendations from me depend on where you’re doing your session, I wouldn’t suggest 6 inch heels while scaling a mountain but a long flowy dress to contrast those rocks - heck yes! I recommend one dressier option and one more casual if you’re having a hard time deciding, also lay it out/try it on the day before so it’s ready and you have less stress the day of! || DO YOU OFFER RETOUCHING OR OTHER CORRECTIVE SERVICES? ||
I do edit the images delivered to you including light skin retouches and color correction, image balancing etc. Extreme edits such as body adjustments or large photoshop requests are available to be outsourced at an hourly fee depending on the specialist if you’d like.

|| SHOULD I ADD A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER? ||

A second photographer is super beneficial to get coverage of your day and add to your final album. Here’s my suggested guide when it comes to deciding between one photographer or two:

1. Do you want more images of both of you during a first look, or your ceremony entrance? A second shooter can focus on your grooms reaction or your own and you really get both angles very well.
2. Are you and your groom getting ready in completely different spaces? A second shooter can capture your groom while I spend the morning with you!
3. Do you have a large cocktail hour or are guest candids very important to you? A second shooter can focus of your guests or details.
