Joe proposed on the edge of a cliff at the top of Devil's Lake near Baraboo, WI after we did the exhausting 15 minute hike up rock stairs on the bluffs. It was the very end of fall when the weather was cold, but felt warm if you were exercising. I was tearing off my jacket and sweatshirt on the way up and Joe claimed to be "very comfortable" all bundled up. Turns out he was hiding the ring in his jacket pocket and secretly dying inside!!
How adorable is that?? Fun fact - my husband is from Baraboo, Wisconsin so I love seeing that town involved in their story :-)
