Colorado Engagements Portfolio
Recent Sessions
This downtown Denver fall wedding was the best way to finish up my wedding season in 2025. These two are not only the best pup parents but are so very clearly best friends. Check out this wedding for smiles, classic wedding beauty and dark green / white color vibes.
Brittany and Charli Wedding Highlight Film | Colorado Wedding Videographer
After a surprise summer rain, this mountain wedding at Mountain View Ranch for Brittany and Charli was truly spectacular. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, they laughed and danced their way into forever. Cheesy I know but honestly there is no other way to describe their day.
Check out a glimpse into their day below.
Summer Lake Engagement Session | Colorado Engagement Photographer
This full of love, movement and laughs session was the most amazing and fantastic way to end my summer - peak through to see Renee, Padraic and their gorgeous pup as we wandered the trails of Echo Lake.
Denver Bowling Alley Engagement Session | Colorado Engagement Photographer
An extra special and personal session today on the blog. Claire and Jon had such a fun idea for this session - their love blossomed in an arcade so of course I said yes when they suggested we do their photos in one!
Jessi & Kyler’s Colorful Loveland Pass Elopement Film
When you think of a Colorado elopement, it’s hard to imagine a day more perfect than Jessi and Kyler’s. These two chose Loveland Pass for their intimate mountain elopement, surrounded by a small group of their closest friends and family. The sweeping alpine views, wild mountain colors, and even a rainbow after a quick rain shower made their day feel nothing short of magical.
Courtney + Geoff’s Intimate Loveland Pass Elopement
If you’ve ever wondered where to elope in Colorado, Loveland Pass is one of the most breathtaking spots you’ll find. At 11,990 feet, this high alpine pass offers sweeping mountain views, golden light, and a sense of adventure that perfectly matched Courtney and Geoff’s vision for their day.
Courtney and Geoff chose a short, sweet, and deeply personal ceremony surrounded only by their immediate family. With mountain peaks and wildflowers as their backdrop, they exchanged vows that felt authentic, heartfelt, and entirely their own.
Do You Need a Film or Photography Permit in Denver? Updated Rules for 2025
Planning a photo shoot or film project in Denver? As of August 14, 2025, the City and County of Denver’s Office of Special Events has updated its Film and Photography Rules and Regulations. These new guidelines help photographers, filmmakers, and content creators understand exactly when a Denver film permit or photography permit is required.
Here’s a breakdown of the updated rules so you can avoid fines, delays, or cancellations on your next project.
Your session is more than just photos, it’s about capturing you in this time of your life in a way that’s true to you. I shoot with a hybrid approach, blending both digital and film photography. This gives you a gallery that feels both timeless and modern, with the ease and speed of digital paired with the nostalgic, unique quality of film. Use this guide so you know what to expect and can plan from start to finish.
Jason and Lauren’s wedding at Balistreri Vineyards was the kind of day that reminds you exactly why you fall in love with documenting love stories. Set against the lush, sun-soaked backdrop of this Denver gem, their celebration was vibrant, candid, and overflowing with joy.
I’ve always believed that some moments deserve to feel timeless. That’s why I’m so excited to share that I’m now weaving 35mm film photography and Super 8 film into my wedding offerings.
These formats carry a kind of magic that digital can’t quite replicate. The soft grain, the rich tones, the imperfections that make every frame feel alive. Whether it’s a quiet touch, a windswept veil, or your people laughing in the background, film captures these small, fleeting moments with a nostalgic beauty that hits just a little deeper. So if you’re someone who feels drawn to the tactile, the vintage, the romantic: this is for you. I can’t wait to create these quiet little keepsakes alongside everything else we’ll capture.
There’s something truly magical about eloping in the Colorado mountains, and this Pass Lake ceremony on Loveland Pass was no exception. Surrounded by just a handful of their closest friends and family, this couple embraced the wild beauty of the day with the rain, wind, and all.
However, just when we thought the weather might dampen the mood, the sky broke open and gave us a full rainbow over the lake. It was like Colorado gave them a blessing of its own.
Hello to all my Colorado couples! I’m thrilled to share that Molly Margaret Photography + Videography is now including Super 8 film in every video-only package whether you're tying the knot in downtown Denver or eloping in the mountains! And the best part? It's already included in your package at no extra cost.
Hi All!
We just got back from a quick (and unexpectedly wild) camping trip near Mount Rushmore, and I couldn’t resist sharing a little peek into our family adventure before I dive headfirst into a packed wedding season!
If you know us, you know that we’re big fans of tent camping. There’s something grounding about unplugging, cooking over a campfire, and waking up under the trees. As a Colorado wedding photographer, I spend so much time capturing other people’s memories and it felt really special to slow down and make a few of our own.
Capturing the pure joy and tender moments of a newborn photoshoot is an absolute delight!
As a family photographer in addition to a wedding photographer, witnessing past clients embrace parenthood and invite me to document their growing families is incredibly heartwarming. It's a privilege to see the love that binds families together and to have the opportunity to freeze those precious early memories in time. From the excitement of a new arrival to the playful chaos of a growing family, each session makes me so freaking happy.
Amely and Joshua embraced the wild beauty of Colorado with an intimate, windswept winter elopement at Sprague Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. Surrounded by snowy peaks and swirling alpine air, their day was full of heartfelt vows, laughter that carried on the breeze, and quiet moments that felt straight out of a storybook. As their Estes Park elopement photographer, I had the joy of capturing every candid, cozy, and windswept second of this magical mountain day.
Sharing a peek into this adorable mini session featuring not only a mother and her daughter but their adorable pup as well. Happy (almost) Mothers day!
I cannot wait for all the outdoor sessions this spring and summer but in the meantime, I’ll enjoy the studios until the weather improves :-)
Calling all families, those in need of updated branding photos, pregnant mamas and more - my spring mini sessions have been scheduled and this time it’s at a new location!
I’ve shot at Realm before, but never in their Sun Room so I am super excited to experience this gorgeous studio with my clients for some great neutral and beautiful in studio shots.

Cielo and Preston are so flipping adorable, when I was hoping to try out some old film cameras I reached out to them and asked if they were willing to model for me and I was ecstatic when they said yes!
Did you know I not only shoot on film, but I know how to develop and print my own negatives? I currently have multiple 35mm cameras as well as medium format, 8mm magazine, regular 8mm and super 8mm cameras. It may or may not be a problem according to my husband ;-) 2025 could be the year I start working it into my sessions and weddings, stay tuned!
From online programs to the physical items I use to actually photography my clients, these are the essential things I use to be successful in my Colorado photography business.
This Boulder and Denver elopement was so flipping adorable, not only did they rock out a first look in sub zero weather but they surrounded themselves with the best crew possible and had smiles on their faces the entire day. If you’re a fan of pups, snow capped mountains, snowboards and downtown Denver - check out this stunning intimate micro wedding.
As many of you know - I have an Etsy design and printables shop - as we come up to Valentines Day (honestly, a top 5 holiday for me, but who does that surprise?) I have released a handful of printable valentines day cards for kiddos and adults. I’m a firm believer in a solid pun so of course all of these are pun based.
When it comes to tying the knot during the colder months, there's something undeniably enchanting about embracing the chill and transforming your special day into a winter wonderland. While the weather may be frosty, it's also an opportunity to infuse your celebration with warmth, coziness, and unforgettable moments. So, grab a cup of hot cocoa, snuggle up, and let's dive into the magic of prepping for your cold-weather elopement or wedding.
Fall Wedding at Beanos Cabin in Avon, Coloardo | Colorado Wedding Photographer
As the leaves turn from green to vibrant hues of red and gold, the picturesque mountains of Vail, Colorado provide a stunning backdrop for a fall wedding. Capturing the essence of such a breathtaking landscape through photography is both challenging and rewarding. The crisp mountain air, the soft glow of the setting sun, and the love and joy of the Eleanor and Tim all come together to create unforgettable moments frozen in time.
Take a peek into their perfect crisp fall evening wedding here.
As the days grow shorter and a cool, crisp breeze fills the air, it can only mean one thing – fall is here. And in the picturesque state of Colorado, this change in seasons brings with it a breathtaking transformation that photographers simply cannot resist capturing.

Intimate Summer Wedding in Colorado | Colorado Elopement Photographer
I recently had the honor to shoot with Courtney Jewell Photography as her second photographer for a lakeside elopement in Colorado. The sunset, water and mountains made for the most stunning backdrop ever.
You may notice some motion blur shots in here - what are your thoughts on the soft or blurry focus images that is “trending” now? I think with all the digital forms of photo and video and how perfect they tend to be it’s nice to feel the vibe of film and be reminded of the imperfect feelings based photos.

Highly recommend choosing Molly as your photographer! Molly’s photos are obviously amazing but working with Molly is also incredibly easy. I had never booked a photographer before, so Molly hopped on the phone with me to walk me through the process but did not push me to book with her. Once I officially booked a session with Molly, there was always a lot of communication about the plan for everything. We did an engagement session and elopement with Molly. Molly showed up early to both and is extremely easy to talk to and makes you feel comfortable behind the camera. She also is incredibly funny and will have you laughing your way through the whole photo shoot if you let her. It thunder-stormed during our elopement and Molly was comfortable taking photos while it was still raining. Within 2 days of our elopement, we had sneak peaks and within 4 weeks, we had our elopement photos. So happy with our decision to book with Molly!

My husband and I LOVED working with Molly! She had such a sweet presence and positive attitude the whole day/evening! Very laid back, but also very professional and calm. She arrived early at our wedding location on time and started shooting photos very quickly! Molly fulfilled our request to take photos out in the snow down by the creek and once we saw her finished photos I had tears in my eyes! We could tell she took great care in editing our photos! Molly also stayed beyond her scheduled amount of time as our wedding roasts went over the time limit. Molly also was very timely with her communications over the phone and email as we were coming from Canada and having our wedding in Colorado. Thank you again Molly for being such a gem!!! We LOVE our wedding photos! :)

My husband and I LOVED LOVED LOVED working with Molly for our wedding's photography and videography! We got the full package with engamement photoshoot and for the day of the wedding photo and video. At all times Molly was taking care of us and making sure we get the best memories. She is great with instructions on how to pose and she always made us feel comfortable and just enjoying our day, which shows in the pictures! Molly answered all my questions in a timely manner, very detailed on the timeline for the day (which it was very helpful) and always asked my opinion and what I wanted for my wedding :) Overall the best experience we could have ever had for our photos and video for our wedding! We will always be very thankful we found Molly!

You may recognize Katie and Tyler from their wedding or engagement photos but I have now also taken their family photos again, such a fun sunset session in the mountains.
